What is a good trim color to go with tan siding?

My husband and I are building a house this spring and are doing tan siding. I am wondering what color trim would look good on the outside to coordinate with the siding color. I have seen white with tan, and I don't like that, and I don't like the trim to be the same color as the siding. I am planning on painting the front door a cranberry red color and putting crabapple trees in the yard.

Any suggestions??

Answer:
The silly part of this question is to ask us what you want. I humbly suggest you look at some paint samples against a mild blue or green background (the colors of the sky and ground, if you don't live in the desert...), and use relative sizes to the wall and trim. ie; bigger piece of tan, smaller piece of trim color. Also, consider the compatibility of colors. Typically, anything on the opposite side of the color wheel is complimentary (Go to a good paint store, and they should be able to help you, you don't have to buy, just get the help).
This is an intensely personal decision, and I agree with the door match idea, but that's just me... Good luck! ; )
