How much does new siding and installation for a medium-sized suburban home cost (very roughly)?
I know that the answer may depend on several factors, but I don't even know what those factors would be. Any rough estimates would be helpful, or even tips on what factors would affect the cost.
Also, how much does the siding itself cost compared to the installation?

Answer:
The way a lot of us bid a job, is to measure out the amount of material needed and double it. So if you needed $ 3,500 worth of siding I would bill you $ 7,000. That is about what a med. house in this area would run by the way. Hope this helps.
Cheep is not always the best or even ok, ask you neighbors, friends and co-workers who did theirs.
